I have a long love affair going with gingerbread houses. I don’t really enjoy eating gingerbread per se, but I absolutely love the artistry of making them. The quest for vintage candy to use as decorations and the joy of creating “outside the box” items to add to the scene. (i.e. a ice pond with teddy grahams skating on it, gumdrop shrubs, car in the driveway, etc.) One year, we threw a cousin reunion and the main activity was creating a gingerbread village. It was hilarious!
I stumbled upon this amazing gem and was utterly delighted by Megan’s creativity. She even included a tutorial over on her blog – Not Martha.

I love love love these little mug houses and will be trying my hand at them soon!
Adorable!
